I really need your help...

I created a blog contest and found sponsors (David Morgan, James Turk & John Rubino), but so far, barely three people have participated. I have prizes for up to 18, so I really need your help.

The contest is really easy and there are some really cool gifts
- 2006 American Eagle Roll (20 Coins) = $333.40
- Signed Copies of The Collapse of the Dollar = priceless
- 10 Silver Rounds = $141.70
- $50 account credits to an auction site
- and 30 minutes with David Morgan

This is what I don't understand, with all these great gifts why people aren't excited about winning them. There's no purchase necessary; it might be the easiest contest you've ever done.

The easiest, fastest way to enter is go to the blog and leave a thoughtful comment (all you need is a name and email)

The second easiest way is registering for the blog (again, username, password, email is all you need)

Then there are some other ways to enter, and those are just as simple.

SO! check out the silver blog contest! and let me know what you think; what would make this contest worth it.

Sincerely,

Adam Jay Doolittle

part of the prblem may be that there are no instructions on how to enter the contest. it looks like 5 contests, not one, and it is confusing. usually, one can just enter a contest, not work everyday at entering it. your contests look like you have to keep doing stuff over and over to win. really, i don't have the time for it.

I see; well there's one contest with multiple ways to enter: comment, register, submit a link, comment the most, and/or submit the most links.

For those short-of-time the comment entry or the register entry only takes a few seconds.

Re: I really need your help...

silvermonthly,

I can't speak for everybody else, but for me personally, I WANT SILVER TO GIVE UP MY ISP ADDRESS, and I don't have hours on end to win in your contest. Of course, the two categories where you can win some rounds either entails mucho ongoing participation "most comments", or, it is a popularity contest for "highest voted link" (a long shot at best). If you want people to sign up, you need that silver listed as a prize drawing for signing up, and/or making an initial post (in a lottery). You can then at least get people there, and they just MIGHT become contributing members and jump-start your endeavor. Now, you start talking 50-100 oz of silver, I might put some time in trying to win some of your "marathon contests". For me, NO SILVER=NO REGISTRATION, and 10-20 oz isn't enough to get me on your forum for 30-60 minutes a day for a week (what it would probably take to win the silver)...but that's just me.

Sorry.

As for the Silver Blog Bash, theres five different ways you can win.

New User 10 Winners with $50 BullionPost.com account credit.
To win this contest all you have to do is register at the blog. In our database each user receives a unique numerical ID, so when the contest gets underway we will use a random number generator to pick a random user who registered. Registering is easy, all it takes is a username, email, and password. When the contest gets started be sure to register its the easiest way to win.

Comments 5 Winners get a Signed copy of The Collapse of the Dollar
To win the comment contest, all you have to do is comment on a story another user has submitted (check out this example). Dont worry for the comment contest you wont have to register. You will, however, be required to make a valueable comment: no off topic comments or spam will win. The winner(s) will be chosen just like the New User winners in that each comment has a unique numerical ID. To pick the winner(s) well use a random number generator to pick out random numbers, which then become our comment contest winners. Check out the most recent stories and leave a thoughtful comment.

Most Comments 1 lucky Winner will get to speak with David Morgan for 30 min.The most comment contest will require a little more work than the other contest, but will also have much better prizes. The winner(s) of this contest will be the user(s) who submit the most comments over the duration of the contest. You can see the Top Commentators on the right side of the blog right below Top Submitters. For comments to qualify for this contest, each comment must be relevant, at least a little bit thoughtful, and cant be spam in anyway.

Most Stories Submitted 1 winner will get a sealed roll of 2006 Silver Eagles (20 coins)Similar to the most comments made, the winner(s) of the Most Stories Submitted will be the user(s) who submit the largest number of relevant, quality stories. Duplicate stories will not be counted. For this contest, users will have to register (and will be entered in the new user contest) and submit stories relevant to the silver market. Submitting new stories is incredibly easy, just visit the Submit New link and fill out the details of the link you are submitting. Be sure to do a quick search to see if your story is a duplicate before submitting a new story.

Highest Voted Link 1 winner will receive 10 silver rounds from Silver50.com
As you can see, each link submitted by a user has an vote count to the left of the story link. To win the Highest Voted Link, the user(s) must accumulate the largest number of votes on one link he or she submits. Right now with three votes, the highest voted story is the welcome post for the Silver Blog. I know someone can submit a better story.

So what exactly are you looking for in regards to posting stories? People are reposting articles from other sites?

Make it easier to register. Registration should be painless and easy to find.

If business was easy we'd all be in business. I think this fellow is just trying; and I for just one, would like to see a little success in this really lousy economy.

By the way just received a nice email from the BLOG. He seems first class.
I rather be an encouragement right now then be negative. ALSO, we could use a little encouragement with they way things are going.

They just took 17 MILLION ounces off the COMEX for delivery - somebody outfoxed the darn FOXES - they did. This leaves only 80 million COMEX registered for delivery - things is getting a tad tight there. Like and "97 inch waisted fellow" having to squeeze into SHORTS that are only 80 inches.

I am still not clear on what kind of "stories" are desired.

I can tell you how I started buying bullion, that's a good story!

Please enlighten us, there seems to be much confusion....

Becasue here is a guy trying to assist against TPTB that work 24/7 to fight against silver & gold as honest money. :thumb.aspx: And that's a battle and a half too.

Start your own gold.com company and I'll back you up too.

Think POSITIVE - there are enough problems out there without us fighting against those that are preaching to the choir. :signs14:

In the spirit of encouragement... you might want to try a video blog on youtube.... it is an easy way to drive people to your site.

Everyone who posted Spam to the guy in the thread, you missed out. I won 30 oz of silver (20 ASE + 10 generic rounds) since there weren't many participating. Will post back when I actually receive it :)

Glad you heard from him. I was getting kind of nervous. I haven't heard back from him in 2 weeks, and I've sent him a few emails with suggestions for the site (no response), and another email Wednesday to see if the rounds have shipped yet (no response). Not sure whats going on.

What do you plan on talking to David Morgan about? Have some questions lined up?
